Last March I assisted the amazingly talented director/cinematographer Brian Melton in developing and shooting a music video for the band Grubby Little Hands. It was my first experience doing art direction in film, and I absolutely loved it! Check it out~

humble materials
I created these ornate chandeliers out of very basic materials- jute, pastic cutlery, masonite and even toilet chain! Anything gilded and in mass is transformed.
Everything's coming up roses
These flower windows were so much fun to execute. My very favorite design that I handcrafted had to be the ornamental onion, Allium. For the blue in this window we used a hand-mixed indigo bath!
Unring's mural
A mural we created for the Grubby Little Hands music video - "Unring". Taking a sweater pattern, we created a large repeat, projected it onto the wall and hand painted it in with many friends helping! Check it out in the newly released music video!
suspended mosiac
This are shots of an immense installation I did with a dear co-worker of mine, Deb. It is made of painted mylar squares, sewn together.
screening
Recently at work I've been making lots of screens... these would be excellent space dividers in a loft apartment or shared bedroom.
Hang ups
A chandelier I made out of dozens of wooden hangers and a bicycle rim. Could turn into a chandelier with a few dropped bulbs.
